My recent drawings and paintings actually mark a return to an abstract motif that has been a part of my work for a long time. Pulled from graphic pop culture, blended with traditional American abstract expressionism and narrated and defined by color. My essential vocabulary.

It starts with blue, because my work always starts with open, hopeful and willing blue.
